Hamas returned the remains of four Israeli hostages in locked black coffins without keys, parading them before a crowd in Gaza before handing them over to the Red Cross. Hamas claimed the hostages and their guards were killed in Israeli airstrikes, though no evidence was provided. Israeli President Isaac Herzog expressed national grief, and forensic examinations are underway to confirm identities. Hamas also displayed the coffins on a stage with a banner depicting Prime Minister Netanyahu as a vampire. The group plans to release six living hostages and four more bodies as part of the ceasefire agreement, leaving around 60 hostages, many believed dead.
