Ireland rose two places in the annual World Happiness Report compared with last year’s standing
Ireland ranked 15th happiest country in the world in the 2024 World Happiness Report, up two places from last year. Finland topped the list. The report noted a continued increase in global benevolence since the pandemic, but also highlighted growing loneliness among young people, particularly in North America and Western Europe, where they now report the lowest wellbeing among all age groups. Sharing meals is linked to higher life satisfaction.
