Heathrow airport live: More delays expected after fire chaos as airport says it’s now fully operational again
Following a 15-hour shutdown caused by a fire at an electricity substation, Heathrow Airport has ordered an internal investigation into its crisis management plans, led by Ruth Kelly. Energy Secretary Ed Miliband has commissioned a separate investigation into the fire. The incident, which caused over 1,300 flight cancellations and affected approximately 300,000 passengers, has drawn criticism, with some calling Heathrow a "laughing stock". British Airways anticipates a near-full schedule at Heathrow on Sunday, and the airport expects to operate a full schedule of over 1,300 flights.
