Heathrow ‘open and fully operational’ after disruption caused by power outage

Around 200,000 passengers have been affected by the closure of what is Europe’s busiest airport.



Heathrow Airport is "open and fully operational" after a power outage caused by a substation fire. Flights have resumed, and 50 extra slots were added to Saturday's schedule for 10,000 passengers. Passengers are advised to contact their airlines. British Airways expects to operate 85% of its scheduled flights.
