Hepatitis A exposure at southeast Edmonton Tim Hortons restaurant

Alberta Health Services said it had confirmed a case of hepatitis A in someone who prepared food at the Tim Hortons at Millbourne Market Mall while infectious.



Alberta Health Services (AHS) confirmed a case of Hepatitis A in a food handler at a southeast Edmonton Tim Hortons (Millbourne Market Mall, 7535 38 Ave.). Customers who consumed food or drinks there between February 20 and March 5 may have been exposed. Individuals who ate at the location between March 1 and March 5 may be eligible for post-exposure immunization and should call Health Link at 1-866-301-2668 for assessment. Those exposed between February 20 and 28 are outside the immunization window and should monitor for symptoms. Immunization clinics will be scheduled in Edmonton for eligible individuals.
