Holiday hotspots in Spain to be battered by Storm Martinho’s 70mph winds after deadly floods

The Canary Islands government warned against unnecessary travel ahead of Storm Martinho’s arrival on Thursday



Storm Martinho is set to bring 70mph winds, heavy rain, and large waves to Spain, impacting both the mainland and the Canary Islands. Following deadly floods from Storm Laurence that caused road closures, travel disruptions, and fatalities, the Spanish weather bureau (Aemet) has issued yellow and orange weather warnings for much of the country.
