‘I spent six years just repeating dots and lines’: the great painter Arpita Singh on a lifetime in art

Indian artist Arpita Singh, after a 60-year painting career, is having her first solo exhibition outside India at the Serpentine in London. The 87-year-old artist, influenced by European modernists like Klee, spent years studying dots and lines and also worked to preserve Indian textile traditions. This exhibition, titled "Remembering," showcases her figurative style developed after art school.
