In Calgary courts: Lawyer accused of domestic assault avoids trial by entering into peace bond

Calgary criminal lawyer Nyall DaBreo avoided a trial for a domestic-related assault allegation by agreeing to a two-year peace bond, which requires him to undergo assessment and counselling for psychiatric/psychological issues, domestic violence, substance use, and anger management. In return, the charge of assault with a weapon was withdrawn.
