Israeli forces advanced further into Gaza, destroying its only cancer hospital and resuming military operations after breaking a ceasefire with Hamas. Israel stated Hamas's continued holding of hostages would result in losing territory. Palestinians were warned to evacuate areas west of Gaza City as Israeli forces planned fresh assaults. Hamas fired rockets into Israel after the ceasefire ended. Israeli troops advanced towards Beit Lahiya and Rafah, blocking Palestinians from entering northern Gaza.
