Jet2, Ryanair, easyJet and TUI rules for anyone taking medication on flights

Medication is a must for many passengers, but not every airline's policies are identical - and people jetting off to sunnier climates should familiarise themselves with the differences

Jet2, Ryanair, and easyJet have different rules for passengers carrying medication. Jet2 allows essential medications in hand luggage with liquid medications over 100ml requiring a doctor's letter and declaration of needles/syringes. Ryanair allows various forms of medication and medical equipment (with pre-clearance) in cabin baggage without needing transparent bags. EasyJet doesn't require a doctor's letter for medication in cabin baggage but advises checking regulations for controlled substances and proving medication ownership with a prescription or doctor's letter.
