Kilimani detectives have dismantled a sophisticated police recruitment scam, arresting a suspect accused of duping job seekers out of Ksh2.5 million. Benedict Odeng’ero Wekesa was apprehended after three victims came forward, revealing how he promised them “guaranteed” entry into the National Police Service. Armed with forged recruitment letters, Wekesa convinced the victims to pay large sums of money, assuring them their spots were secure.
