The King and Queen still plan to go ahead with next month's State Visits to the Holy See and Italy despite continuing fears over the Pope's health.
King Charles and Queen Camilla's state visit to the Holy See and Italy will proceed from April 7-10, despite concerns about Pope Francis's health. The visit will include an ecumenical service in the Sistine Chapel and a visit to St Paul’s Outside the Walls, marking a historic moment between the Anglican and Catholic Churches. Queen Camilla will also meet with nuns promoting female empowerment.
