Daniel is the prime suspect in the murder of his girlfriend Joana, a KNUST student. Their relationship was troubled, involving counselling and reports of physical abuse. CCTV footage shows Daniel arguing with Joana, pushing her to the ground, and strangling her. He attempted to stage the crime scene and later disposed of her laptop. He attended exams the next day and has been remanded, with his hearing set for March 17, 2025.
