Labour has history of difficult debates over welfare, says McFadden

McFadden stated that party discipline isn't his responsibility but discouraged complacency regarding benefit costs and recipients. Labour MPs, including Rachael Maskell, have urged reconsideration of the welfare reforms introduced by Rachel Reeves.
