The Blue Ghost lander, developed by Firefly Aerospace, successfully landed on the Moon in the Mare Crisium region as part of a mission launched on January 15 to support future NASA crewed missions. Equipped with ten scientific instruments, the lander will conduct experiments over two weeks, including testing regolith adherence, distance measurements, and radiation-resistant computing. Additionally, the Athena lander by Intuitive Machines and the Resilience lander by Ispace are en route to the Moon, targeting Mons Mouton and Mare Frigoris respectively, to advance lunar exploration and prepare for future missions under NASA's Artemis program.
