Christian Kracht hat mit seinem Roman »Air« laut Jury »ein berauschendes literarisches Rätsel« geschaffen. Nun darf er sich Hoffnungen auf den Preis der Leipziger Buchmesse machen – gemeinsam mit weiteren prominenten Autoren.
Christian Kracht ("Air"), Wolf Haas ("Wackelkontakt"), and Kristine Bilkau ("Halbinsel") are nominated for the Leipziger Buchpreis in the fiction category. Jens Bisky ("Die Entscheidung") and Harald Meller, Kai Michel, and Carel van Schaik ("Die Evolution der Gewalt") are nominated in the non-fiction category. Nominees in the translation category include works translated from Polish, English, Italian, and Belarusian, and Julia Wolf ("Umlaufbahnen") is also nominated. The award ceremony will take place on March 27th at the Leipziger Buchmesse, with each category winner receiving €15,000.
