Paul Hume, Chairperson of Letterkenny Credit Union, has been elected to the board of the Irish League of Credit Unions. Hume, a nephew of the late John Hume, a key figure in the establishment of the credit union movement in Ireland, follows in his uncle's footsteps. Letterkenny Credit Union, established in 1962, has grown from 24 members to over 28,500 members. Hume expressed tribute to outgoing board member Jim Toner for his years of service.
