The chairman of Oluyole Local Government Area in Oyo State, Hon. Akeem Olatunji, has cautioned farmers and herders against lawlessness, emphasizing the need for dialogue and cooperation to address recurring conflicts. Speaking at a stakeholders' meeting with security agencies, traditional rulers, farmers, and herders, Olatunji stressed the importance of maintaining public peace and security, aligning with Governor Seyi Makinde's vision for a safe and secure environment. He warned that acts of lawlessness would not be tolerated and highlighted the effectiveness of the Rule of Law. Suggestions included creating a special taskforce to curb open grazing and implementing an identification system for farmers and cattle to ensure peaceful coexistence.
