Masked Israeli settlers attacked Hamdan Ballal, director of the film "No Other Land," in the West Bank village of Susya, according to witnesses. The settlers, some armed, threw stones at his house and beat him before handing him over to the Israeli military. Activists say Israeli police did not intervene. The IDF stated a violent confrontation occurred after Palestinians threw rocks at Israelis, leading to mutual rock-hurling and arrests of both Palestinians and an Israeli civilian.
