Linlithgow MSP announces decision to retire at 2026 Scottish Parliamentary Elections

Fiona Hyslop has been returned as the MSP for Linlithgow since 2011 and secured the third highest constituency vote in Scotland in 2021.



Fiona Hyslop, the Linlithgow MSP and current Scottish Transport Secretary, will retire at the 2026 Scottish Parliamentary Elections. Hyslop was first elected as an MSP in 1999 and has served as the MSP for Linlithgow since 2011. She has held government cabinet positions since 2007.
