
Thousands of homes have been left without power and more than 100 people were evacuated following the fire.
A fire at an electrical substation in Hayes, west London, caused a "massive explosion" and subsequent power outage affecting 67,000 homes, forcing Heathrow Airport to close and cancel flights for over 200,000 passengers. Over 100 people were evacuated, and several local schools were shut down. No injuries were reported.
