Major brand of contact lenses sold across Canada were just recalled

If you wear contacts, you may want to take a closer look, as Health Canada has issued a nationwide recall of a popular contact lens brand.On June 20, the health department issued a recall of the Acuvue® Oasys Max 1-day Multifocal contact lenses. U.S.-based Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Inc. announced a voluntary recall after it found a high density of microbubbles (microscopic voids within the contact lens) in affected lots."Microbubbles will not cause medical harm but may be associated with visual disturbances, particularly in low-light conditions," reads the statement.The recall has been categorized as a type II recall.
