Man (38) jailed for his role in the human trafficking of three women into Ireland

The court heard that Lucky Enogheghase, with an address at Frenchville Lane, Co Galway, was involved in facilitating the journey of three women from Nigeria to Ireland

Lucky Enogheghase (38) of Co Galway was jailed for four-and-a-half years for his role in the human trafficking of three women from Nigeria to Ireland. He pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit human trafficking, admitting to facilitating their journey. The women were later forced into prostitution by others. The court accepted his plea on the basis of recklessness, as he was not aware of their intended exploitation. He assisted with travel and accommodation, though his role in the trafficking organization and potential reward remain unclear.
