A man was jailed for posting TikTok videos containing death threats against Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald and Garda Commissioner Drew Harris. McDonald provided a victim impact statement detailing the routine abuse she faces, while Harris declined, stating his initial complaint captured the impact. The man admitted to the posts after arrest, claiming he didn't intend for them to go viral and that he took them down. The judge deemed the threats "extreme and frightening".
