Speaking on Joy Midday News, the MP questioned why the Speaker allowed the Clerk to notify the Electoral Commission (EC) of a vacancy despite a pending motion for stay of execution filed at the court. According to him, the Speaker’s position contradicts previous practice where legal processes were allowed to conclude before a vacancy was declared in similar cases.
