Marian Turski, a Holocaust survivor and president of the International Auschwitz Committee, has died at the age of 98. Born in 1926, Turski survived the Lodz ghetto and Auschwitz before becoming a prominent journalist and advocate for Holocaust remembrance. He was elected president of the International Auschwitz Committee in 2021 and dedicated his life to ensuring the memory of the Holocaust was never forgotten. His passing has been mourned by survivors and supporters worldwide.
