Mayo go from rags to riches to book Division One final meeting with Kerry

Kevin McStay’s side were in a relegation spot with seven minutes remaining against Donegal in Castlebar

Mayo defeated Donegal 1-18 to 1-16 in a dramatic match, securing their place as Division One finalists against Kerry. Mayo overcame a deficit with a late comeback, helped by a saved penalty and a missed goal chance by Donegal, to finish top of the league despite a negative scoring difference. Jack Carney scored a goal and three points in the first half for Mayo. Donegal, who had led earlier, rallied in the second half but ultimately fell short.
