Millionenauftrag für Linzer Baukonzern Swietelsky in Kroatien

LINZ. Der Baukonzern Swietelsky erhält einen Großauftrag der Kroatischen Staatsbahnen. Für rund 189 Millionen Euro wird eine Eisenbahnstrecke modernisiert.

Swietelsky, a construction company based in Linz, has received a major contract from Croatian Railways to modernize and repair an 86.5-kilometer railway line between Klostar in Istria and Cakovec in northern Croatia. The project, described as the largest in Swietelsky's history in Croatia, involves installing a protective layer and underground repairs using the company's machinery. Swietelsky, which has been active in Croatia since 1999 and employs 70 people there, sees the country as a key market for future growth. CEO Peter Krammer emphasized the importance of modern railway infrastructure for Europe's future transportation needs.
