Mindestlohn: Kaum Anstieg in Deutschland, deutliche Erhöhung in Osteuropa

A study on minimum wages reveals significant increases in Eastern Europe, with Romania and Bulgaria seeing rises of 23% and 16%, respectively. In contrast, Germany experienced a modest 3.3% increase, raising its minimum wage to 12.82 euros. This increase is unlikely to offset the 2.2% inflation rate, leaving little noticeable impact for workers. While Germany's minimum wage ranks high among EU countries, it falls short of the recommended 60% of the median wage, currently standing at 51.7%. The study suggests Germany would need to raise its minimum wage to around 15 euros to meet the target.
