More Loblaw employees to wear body cameras across Canada, company says
Loblaw is expanding its body camera pilot project to more stores across Canada in British Columbia, Ontario, and Manitoba, including some Toronto locations. The goal is to assess if the cameras can help reduce violent incidents and enhance safety for employees and customers. Cameras are only activated when there's a risk of escalation, and trained employees must inform others when the camera is turned on. Footage will not be used for marketing purposes and will be deleted if not needed for investigation.
