More than 2000 warning notices issued to pavement parkers in South Lanarkshire as council begins enforcing fines

As of Monday, March 17, warning notices are being upgraded to Penalty Charge Notices (PCN) for parking on pavements, drop kerbs or double parking.

South Lanarkshire Council is now issuing £100 fines for pavement parking after issuing over 2000 warning notices since the start of the year. The fines, reduced to £50 if paid within 14 days, are being enforced under the Transport (Scotland) Act 2019.
