Muslims in Altadena look for normalcy at the end of Ramadan after mosque burned down

Wildfires in Los Angeles destroyed the only mosque in the Altadena area. As the community prepares to celebrate the end of Ramadan, it's finding ways to give kids — and adults — a sense of normalcy.

Wildfires in Los Angeles destroyed the only mosque in Altadena, Masjid Al-Taqwa, founded by Black Muslims 40 years ago, disrupting Ramadan traditions. While observing Ramadan, they cope with the trauma and plan to rebuild their mosque after finding a temporary location for weekly prayers.
