Twenty-seven of 33 one-day disqualification orders granted over two years were by Naas District Court
Naas District Court granted the vast majority of 24-hour driving disqualification orders, a legal loophole allowing drivers to avoid penalty points, between 2023 and 2024. Of 33 such orders nationally, 27 were granted in Naas. An amending provision in the Road Traffic Act 2024, intended to close this loophole, has not yet been commenced.
