The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) organized a workshop in Kano to educate stakeholders on new technologies aimed at detecting fake medicines. The technologies include the NAFDAC Greenbook, which identifies product sources, the Traceability Regulation 2024, providing a legal framework for product tracking, and the Pediatric Regulation 2024, addressing children's medical needs. Prof. Adeyeye emphasized the tools' role in reducing counterfeit drugs, while Dr. Regina Garba highlighted the importance of registration and traceability. The initiative aims to enhance transparency and accountability in the pharmaceutical supply chain.
