Over 3,000 shops in Idumota were sealed, and warehouses in Aba and Onitsha revealed large quantities of fake and expired drugs, including banned products like Analgin injections. NAFDAC found machines altering drug expiry dates and seized 14 trucks of counterfeit medications, some falsely claiming NAFDAC approval. The agency's director-general emphasized their commitment to sanitizing the market, targeting major hubs in Idumota, Onitsha, and Aba to protect public health.
