NASA's stranded astronauts are FINALLY on way home after nine grueling months

Sunita Williams and Barry 'Butch' Wilmore undocked from the International Space Station (ISS) at 1.05am ET (5.05am GMT) on a craft made by Elon Musk 's SpaceX .



After nine months stranded on the ISS due to technical issues with their ship, NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Barry "Butch" Wilmore are returning to Earth aboard Elon Musk's SpaceX Dragon spacecraft. The mission faced slight delays due to dust on the hatch seals. Four new astronauts have arrived at the ISS to replace them. NASA is expected to give a press conference about the mission. The returning astronauts will require about six weeks of rehabilitation.
