A man climbed the Elizabeth Tower (Big Ben) in London, holding a Palestinian flag, prompting negotiations for his descent. He ascended around 7:20 AM, and as night fell, negotiators expressed concerns about his safety and a foot injury. He insisted on descending "on his own terms." Security failings in allowing him access are being questioned. A pro-Palestine protest nearby appeared to support him, and parliamentary tours have been cancelled.
