New Jersey pet store owner shot in face with crossbow weeks after theft of $7,000 parrot

The parrot theft and crossbow shooting are unrelated, according to local media reports

A New Jersey pet store owner, Katarina, was shot in the face with a crossbow at her store, Birds by Joe 2 in Saddle Brook, on Monday night. This occurred weeks after a $7,000 African Grey parrot was stolen from the store. The parrot was later recovered, and a suspect was charged with theft. However, authorities confirmed that the crossbow attack was unrelated to the parrot theft.
