WASPI chair Angela Madden has vowed to continue the fight and accused ministers of ‘riding roughshod over justice for WASPI women’.
WASPI campaigners are pursuing a High Court review to challenge the UK government's decision to rule out compensation for millions of women affected by changes to the State Pension age. The campaign follows a report suggesting compensation between £1,000 and £2,950 per person, but the government deems a blanket compensation scheme, potentially costing £10.5 billion, unjustifiable. WASPI has raised over £150,000 to fund the legal challenge.
