Nigeria achieved a new peak power generation of 5,543.20 MW on February 14, 2025, surpassing the previous record of 5,478.73 MW set on February 13, 2025. The country also recorded a new maximum daily energy of 125,159.48 MWH, exceeding the prior record of 121,674.88 MWH by 3,484.60 MWH. The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) confirmed the successful transmission of this power to distribution companies. This milestone reflects the efforts of President Bola Tinubu's administration and Minister of Power Chief Adebayo Adelabu to enhance Nigeria's power generation and supply.
