Nigerian National Jailed 8 Years in Nairobi for Cocaine Trafficking

A Nairobi court has sentenced Nigerian national Alabi Tunde Lateef to eight years in prison after finding him guilty of trafficking cocaine worth nearly Ksh890,800. The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) announced on Saturday, August 16, that the Milimani Law Courts convicted Lateef after the prosecution presented strong evidence that proved the case beyond reasonable doubt. Investigators told the court that on September 11, 2017, police arrested Lateef in two separate locations while in possession of narcotics.
