
The local authority said it had improved the quality of homes by investing more than £29m in the past year with its housing team generated £18.8m in benefits for tenants and built 460 new affordable homes - its best yearly performance to date.
North Lanarkshire Council's Local Housing Strategy (LHS) annual update highlights achievements including: over £29m invested in improving homes, £18.8m in benefits generated for tenants, 460 new affordable homes built, and over 6,000 energy efficiency measures installed. Additional achievements include delivering 44 wheelchair-accessible homes and reducing the proportion of households with children in temporary accommodation by 15%. The LHS aims to improve housing, regenerate communities, and reduce inequality.
