‘Not my business’ to ensure producer paid enough, Noel Clarke tells High Court

The actor is suing Guardian News and Media over seven articles and a podcast containing allegations of sexual misconduct.

Noel Clarke told the High Court it was "not his business" to ensure a producer working for his production company, Gina Powell, was paid enough to make ends meet. Powell alleges sexual assault, bullying, and exposure, while Clarke denies the allegations and says he "helped her immensely." The court heard Clarke owed Powell £3,000 and that she was poorly paid and struggling financially. Clarke's lawyer argues he has established the falsity of all allegations.
