NTSB releases preliminary report on Philadelphia plane crash
An NTSB preliminary report on the Philadelphia medevac jet crash that killed seven people, including a patient and her mother, shortly after takeoff from Northeast Philadelphia Airport, revealed no distress call was made and the black box was not functioning. The plane reached 1,650 feet before crashing into a residential area a minute after takeoff, creating an eight-foot-deep crater and causing extensive damage. The report offered no cause for the crash, which occurred days after another aviation disaster.
