Nvidia and Google DeepMind are collaborating with Disney to develop Newton, a physics engine for simulating robotic movements. Disney plans to use Newton to power its next-generation robots, like the Star Wars-inspired BDX droids, at theme parks. Nvidia will release an early, open-source version of Newton in 2025, which will be compatible with Google DeepMind's robotic development tools. Nvidia also unveiled Groot N1, an AI foundation model for humanoid robots.
