Ollie Scarles believes he can become an important player for West Ham, having broken into the first team under Graham Potter and featured in all nine of Potter's games. Scarles, a product of West Ham's academy and a former FA Youth Cup winner, is benefiting from Potter's trust in youth players and is being mentored by senior players like Aaron Cresswell and James Ward-Prowse.
