Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has ordered the construction of a 5,000-capacity hostel, cafeteria, and new faculty buildings for Law and Agriculture at Abia State University, Uturu. He also directed the demolition and reconstruction of buildings at the ABSU Staff Primary School and instructed the university to improve existing hostels and eliminate unsafe cooking practices. Construction is set to begin within a week as of March 24, 2025.
