Over 1,000 youth equipped as National Apprenticeship Programme starts in Ashanti region

The pilot phase of the National Youth Apprenticeship Programme has commenced in the Ashanti Region, with over 1,000 young people receiving tools and equipment to enable them acquire employable skills. At a brief ceremony held at Ejisu to officially hand over the apprenticeship equipment to various Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) for onward distribution, the deputy Chief Executive Officer of the programme, Alhaji Inusa Mahama, reiterated the government’s commitment to tackling youth unemployment through skills development.
