Owners of Pai opening Toronto restaurant with karaoke and claw machines

Toronto will soon be home to a vibrant new restaurant and bar from the city's most prolific Thai-food ambassadors.  From celebrated duo chef Nuit and Jeff Regular, the team behind Pai, Kiin and Sukhothai, Tha Phae Tavern will be a modern spot named for Chiang Mai's bustling Tha Phae Gate.A historic landmark known for bazaars and night markets, the area is recognized as one of Thailand's most exciting international meeting places.Inspired by the area's convergence of cultures, food and people, Tha Phae Tavern is set to invigorate 221 Richmond Street West with vivacious energy along with modern Thai food and handcrafted cocktails. Though planning is still in progress, the team says chef Nuit's menu is inspired by classic Thai drinking snacks and small plates that combine Thai flavours with global influences.Tha Phae Tavern's private karaoke rooms, on-site photo booth and claw machine will apparently further capture the hubbub of Thailand's Tha Phae Gate."...



The owners of Pai are opening a new bar called Tha Phae Tavern in Toronto, located in the Fifth complex where Selva previously operated. The venue will feature private karaoke rooms, a photo booth, and claw machines, inspired by Chiang Mai's Tha Phae Gate. The project is a collaboration between chefs Nuit and Jeff Regular and partners Oliver Geddes, Ben Geddes, and Janet Zuccarini.
