Pakistani military is in a standoff with Baloch Liberation Army militants who hijacked a train in southwestern Pakistan, holding approximately 250 hostages. The BLA demands the release of jailed militants in exchange for the hostages. Security forces have rescued 190 of the initial 450 passengers, while at least 30 militants have been killed. The BLA has threatened the lives of the hostages if negotiations fail.
